Ampy Biography Contest
Who is your main character? Ampy wants to know. I thought it would be a fun Idea to have a little biography contest to see what you Ampers can come up with. Ampy wants you to write an autobiography for your character letting us know who they are from the point of view of your character. We are looking for edgy stories of how your characters came to be and why they chose to be either good or evil. If they have powers how they got them (where they born with them or were they gained from another means) and how do they use them (for good or evil). Did some dramatic event make them choose to go to the dark side or stand in the light? We want to know.
How to Enter:
Please submit all entries to the article section of your games Gameamp page. For example, Villainess Vines would submit her article to the CoV Gameamp articles section because that is the game she is from. Please be sure to do spelling and grammar checks on your articles before they are submitted or they will not be accepted. Once your article is approved, please make a link to it on the Ampy Biography Contest thread on the Gameamp Shop Forum. This contest is open to every site on the network as well as all staff members. You may submit previously made entries if you have already submitted to Gameamp so if you want to enter an oldy but goodie you are welcome to but remember you only get one entry so make sure you choose wisely.
Prizes: Along with the 25pt credit, you will receive for your entry you will also get:
Grand Prize: Free Tee-shirt from the Gameamp Shop and 200pts Credit
Second Place 150pts Credit
Third Place: 100pts Credit
Rules:
1. All Entries must be received by July 5th
2. All Entries must be spelling and grammar checked before entry or they will not be accepted.
3. All Entries must be first submitted to your Gameamp sites Articles section and linked to the contest forum thread once approved.
4. Only 1 entry per amper
5.Please limit your entries to 1,500 words.
6.All Entries must be made in the Point of View of the character you are writing about.
7.Have fun writing your characters biography.
So dust off that creative writing pencil and write us some great biographies!

I am probably the only one who will worry about this, but where do I submit my article if my site doesn't have an article section? Only WOW, COH, COV and Guildwars have article sections.
Edit: Oops, I forgot to mention I think it is a really cool idea. Thanks for thinking it up and organizing, Viv!
Edit2: And some more questions. Can we submit as many entries as we like? Should the biography apply to existing characters? If so, do you want some prove? Like a link to my profile game history page?

I hadn't realized that some of the sites don't have articles sections Doh! I sent a pm to the dev's asking for them hopefully they will atleast get one for Vanguard for ya. As for entries because this is a network wide contest we are allowing only one entry. This is more of a writing contest so the characters can be real or made up so no proof necessary but you only get one entry so choose wisely :)

You may add a small pic with your bio if you like nothing bigger than 200x200. As for old bios you are allowed to submit them to the contest if you wish but you only get one entry so choose wisely

Ok guys I just wanted to make it clear that when you write your Biographies that you are making them in the first person point of view. I want them to be like you main character is telling their own life story. Please see either my sample entry or MG entry to see what I mean.

Strangely mine is short. I'm rather more verbose in my writings so I guess I may be just tired or lazy or flat out out of ideas right now.
But I did write a bio for Corah Shadowstalker and it is now submitted.
I rarely win anything and I've read over other entries while I was waiting for my article / entry to be approved and some are rather long. Mine is barely 300 words. I guess it was meant to express the urgent need to hurry and prepare for battle.
