Gameamp has decided to have its very own Video Awards Contest. Everyone wants to win an Ampy. We are looking for some great videos to display on our Myspace page that show the fun you can have during your game play experience. This Contest is open to all ampers and all Games featured on Gameamp. We are looking for Music Video style Videos showing off your favorite game. Videos should be at least 2 minutes long with a max of 6 minutes. The songs can be from any kind of music you like but please no foul language or explicit lyrics.
All video entries must be submitted by their creator . We do not want people taking credit for another’s work.
The first thing you will need to do is to submit your video to Gameamp. To do this please vistit the Videos section of the Gameamp site that your video will feature and download it to Gameamp. For example if you make a GuildWars Music video please go to the videos section on the Guildwars page and submit your video there.
The next thing you will need to do is Submit your Video to the Videos section of Myspace. Once your Video is on Myspace Videos please put a link to your Video on the Ampy Myspace Video Awards contest thread on the Gameamp Shop forum(here).
The Ampy Myspace Video Awards contest is open to all Ampers even Gameamp Staff. Everyone will be allowed 2 entries in the contest. We would like to see some great videos so get your Directors caps on and show us how creative you can be. All entries will receive the usual 25pts Credit just for submission and the following prizes for the Winners:
Grand Prize : 200 pts Credit Credit and a Chameleon Mega Digital Camera Second Place: 150 Pts Credit and a Gameamp Tee-shirt
Third Place: 100 pts Credit.
All Credit prizes will be awarded to the Gameamp site of the winners choice!
Rules:
1. All Videos Must be the original work of the submitter
2. All entries must be submitted to the Forum featured in the video.
3. The entry must also be downloaded to Myspace with a link to the video put on the Contest thread on the Gameamp shop forum.
4. Only 2 entries per Amper.
5. Videos must not contain profanity or explicit lyrics.
6. All entries must be received by April 19th (extended deadline)
Ok For all you ampers out there who dont have Myspace accounts We will accept Videos that are put on Youtube as well. So Get out there and shoot us some sweet Videos!

I'm pretty sure that Myspace only allows videos uploaded to them, or youtube to go up on member pages. And we are planning on featuring these videos on the GameAmp Myspace page.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. When you say "limited in space" what are you talking about?
youtube and myspace only allow 100megs or so for the uploaded video to be. That's very limiting, for me in any case.
To be honest, I don't think you can upload a 100 MB movie to GameAmp either. I know that there are some programs that allow you to adjust the size of the file. I believe some of them are mentioned in the guide I linked above.
This is my first (and perhaps only) submission to the Ampys contest.
It's a remake of Celebritys Skin which I made some time ago. I have put a lot of thought into this one. The main goal is (as this is how I understood the contest rules) to show off Guild Wars. Showing to the world why it's a game we all love.
As always I want all your critique so I can improve as a moviemaker.
Wow Darksage that was Awesome!!! I cant wait to see the rest of the entries. I really like the Idea of having the Myspace page featuring Videos made by our ampers that makes it more of a Gameamp page. Keep up the good work and get those entries in !!!
Gameamp shirts Rock!!! Remember guys it is ok to enter an already made video to the contest you do not have to create a new one. All we need is for you to upload it to Myspace or You tube so we can put it on our page. I made some guides for those of you who don't know how to make a video.
Ok people this is my entry to the contest. I think this will be my only video including vanguard so I will be uploading this file to the Vanguard video section of Gameamp. I also would like to say that I did use more then one game to make this video. But I’ll let you figure what ones they are.
