Alright, I figured I should start posting some of my MMO t-shirt ideas here. I am a t-shirt artist and graphic designer as a vocation, and (unfortunately?) I also play MMOs and have had a number of ideas over time, so I'll just list them here and update it with new ideas whenver I get them. Of course Gameamp if you're ever interested in commissioning some t-shirt artwork you might send me an e-mail :).
The word "PWN" provides plenty of fodder to feed the t-shirt humor beast:
The License plate shirt: create artwork of of an elaborately geared character on a ridiculously decked out mount with view from the front and back. On the back, have a license plate strapped to the back of the mount with the word "PWNED" on it. This could also be accomplished by use of a Car instead with funny bumper stickers on it ("I brake for berserkers" or whatever).
Something simple: P-W-N-T in big letters across the front of a t-shirt, and underneath a picture of a computer mouse crushed in a rat trap.
Of course, there are plenty of great jokes that would pertain to specific games, but I'm trying to keep in general MMO jokes to stay clear of copyright problems...
Now for some poking and PvP jokes:
*Hits you for 13,000 points of Nerfstick damage*
/me pokes you with [Uberz poking stick of doom]
How about a picture of a grumpy orc in a prison suit with a huge sign (IP BANNED) or perhaps (REPORTED) or just (BANNED) superimposed.
"WTB: Life, Girlfriend, Job - paying exorbitantly PST"
(you could also put a picture of a gravestone in a graveyard shaped like a computer with "R.I.P." on the screen).
Another one: A picture of a very elaborately geared Paladin type character, with the head of a computer geek (pale white guy with big glasses), along with the phrase "I'll get my main"
"Boss Farming" - a bunch of MMO characters standing around giving gifts/compliments etc. to a very confused corporate manager in an office. another variation would be
"Boss Camping" - a confused corporate manager looking at a variety of tents pitched around the desk.
There are quite a number of current events that come up where one public figure accuses another of cheating (sports, politics...). A well-done caricature of the two figures with one spouting "ZOMG H4X0R!!!1!!11" could be pretty funny given the right news story to parody.
I was also thinking of perhaps some kind of spoof on HP (as in hit points), with a parody of one of their advertising slogans (Sort of like that UPS parody I saw somewhere - "DPS - we deliver." Wish I had thought of that).
Finally, a promo t-shirt for the [Insert MMO location or battleground name here] KILLharmonic ORCestra! Including a nice picture of some fine greenskins with musical gear (not sure whether to make it rock instruments or violins/horns, etc.), along with little slogans - CRITically acclaimed! - This group r0x! - "Superb Execution! - Raid Reviews" "Top of the charts!" "Numerous smash hits!"
Ah one more - "Back to the daily grind" - A tired-looking MMO character with a cup of coffee and a little radio surrounded by a bunch of dead boars.
Let me know any of these strike anyone as being halfway decent.
